En 1850 Christian Lanz fundo la Viña bautizandola con el nombre de CARMEN, en honor a su esposa.
Un siglo mas tarde, en 1987, la viña es adquirida por el Grupo Claro, quien le dio un nuevo impulso. Se plantaron mas viñedos y se construyo una bodega equipada con tecnologia de punta, con el objetivo de producir vinos de alta calidad y entrar al mundo de las exportaciones.
Viña Carmen ha sido reconocida por ser pionera en la industria chilena del vino. Se destaca el descubrimiento del Carmenere, entre sus viñedos y el ser la primera viña en producir vinos con uvas provenientes de viñedos organicos, a traves de la marca Nativa. En 1992 una nueva Viña fue construida y nuevos viñedos fueron plantados, para producir los mejores vinos de Calidad de Chile y exportarlos por todo el mundo.

In 1850, Christian Lanz founded the Vineyard baptize with the name of Carmen, in honor of his wife. A century later, in 1987, the Vinyard is acquired by the Claro Group, who gave a new impetus. More vineyards were planted and we build a warehouse equipped with latest technology, with the mission of producing a high quality wines and get in the world of exports. Carmen Vinyard has been recognized for pioneering in the Chilean wine industry. It highlights for the discovery of Carmenere, between the vineyards is the first winery in produce wines with grapes from organic vineyards, through the Native brand. In 1992 a new winery was built and new vineyards were planted to produce the best quality wines from Chile and to exporting them through the world.
